Voting Statement

Egypt is very pleased with the solutions that are going to be proposed tomorrow at the United Nations Security Council meeting.
Solution 1: We are very pleased with the resolution regarding Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. We are extremely happy that these talks will re start. We believe that these talks are vital in creating peace in the Middle East. As that is our main goal we will support these talks wholeheartedly.
Solution 2: We are very pleased with solution number two. We agree that not only sanctions should be put on Iran but also UN inspectors should be sent to look at their nuclear program. We believe that Iran should feel the consequences for funding Hezbollah, which will be done by the Sanctions. We also believe that Iran could be a huge threat to our people if they were too develop nuclear weapons so we are pleased that UN inspectors will be sent to look at Iran’s nuclear program. We believe that terrorism is a huge problem in the Middle East and by supporting this solution we are one step closer to creating peace in the Middle East.
Solution 3: We are also very pleased with solution number 3. We believe that sanctions on Syria are a necessary thing to do. We will support these sanctions under the idea that Syria is continuing to fund Hezbollah. If Syria stops funding Hezbollah than we will no longer support these sanctions. However terrorism is a very big deal to us and we believe we need to put a stop to it. We believe that this solution is a positive step in creating peace in the Middle East.
